It's been months since we've last been swimming or even near our pool since it's actually been too cold. I know that is hard to fathom for those of you living in Chicago or points north, but when it is only high 60s at night and the angle of sun is lower during the winter, we don't have enough solar umphh to heat the pool, despite daytime temps in the 80s or low 90s. We have investigated options and just not done anything to change this, so it means we don't swim for about 4 months because the pool temperature is unpleasantly cold. It still looks nice but it is more like a painting we enjoy than a sport. Today that changed and we realized again just how much we LOVE having a pool.
