Last night, we went to an early movie and had dinner with a friend, Jerry, our Valentine. We saw the Bucket List which we don't recommend, but which did give us cause to think about things like what should be on our "to do" lists. We then proceeded to dinner.
We first tried La Tratto and were turned away, despite being regular patrons, the early hour of 7:30, and plenty of empty tables, because we had no reservation. We then tried Trotter's where there were also PLENTY of empty tables and were told the same thing. So off we went and spied Las Jirafes, where there are always people eating and there were still empty tables and thankfully, no need of reservations. We sat down and the waiter brought two red roses to our table for us ladies, just a gift for Valentine's Day. We ordered, ate a fine meal, and each had two margaritas. The best gift of all was our bill which included a charge of 100 pesos (less than $10 US) for the 6 drinks!! Half off for the holiday.
